He almost chokes again. “How would I know?”
Allison has the type of expression on her face that means she’s on a relentless hunt for gossip. “I thought you two were sleeping together.”
Neil startles, confused. Incomprehensibly, Allison’s words make him flush, up to his ears and down his neck. “We’re not,” Neil says. “We’re just friends.”

In the electric, buzzing dark of the stage right wing of the Forum, Frank is frozen. His guitar is in his hands and his wife is kissing him on the cheek, but his feet have turned to lead in his sneakers. It's the last show. Five nights in LA and then there'll be nothing for months, until they strike out on an abbreviated tour leg in the Pacific next March. And after that, what will there be? Frank knows what he wants. He's just not convinced yet that any of it is even a possibility outside of his own head.
Draped in his own shadows across the stage, he sees him. Gerard sees him too and he smiles, bouncing in place and tugging unselfconsciously at his shirt, starting to summon that otherworldly whirlwind of energy within himself that he'll tear them all to shreds with onstage before he tenderly pieces them back together again.
Christ, but he's the same as he ever was. It could be their first show together, rather than nearly the thousandth. One thought loops around and around in his mind, piercingly urgent. Don't let this go.
Don't let go.

“I must have done something terrible to you back then,” Yahaba said as he took a long drag of his cigarette.
Kyoutani didn't say anything at first, just shifted his weight from one foot to the other before he let out a soft, “No”
It was cold that evening and the noises from inside the bar were muffled but cheerful.
“We were close,” Kyoutani continued.
“That's what I was told,” Yahaba exhaled and looked up “It's the first time you’ve told me that though.”
The sky was surprisingly clear. It had been raining for days, a curiously large storm had come through, slowly making its way across the country just the other day. The ground was clean but slick. The colder breeze and the dramatic change in temperature brought caution that Yahaba easily forgot about. He slipped stepping onto the sidewalk earlier.

They stay silent for a moment, just watching each other, before Andrew closes the distance between them, crashing their lips together in a bruising kiss. Neil’s arms automatically go above his head, letting Andrew lead him, but the kiss is over before he can slide them in Andrew’s hair.
“Jealousy is a petty feeling, Abram,” Andrew shakes his head, “I thought you knew better than that.”

Summary
Atsumu has a long history of pissing people off, but this time he’s gone too far. Someone wants him dead, and although he doesn’t know who or why, it becomes clear very quickly that both he and Osamu are in danger. After a couple of close calls, Kita - the Kumicho of Inarizaki - decides it’s not safe for the two of them to stay in Hyogo; not until he finds out who placed the hit and eliminates them.
Atsumu reluctantly finds himself in Tokyo, taken in by a yakuza group that’s nothing like Inarizaki. The Black Jackals are a different breed, more lethal than he’s used to, and Sakusa Kiyoomi is the worst of them all. Of course that’s who Atsumu gets stuck with, and he and Sakusa are in constant competition for who hates each other more.
Tokyo should be a safe haven but between Atsumu’s bloody new assignments, the lingering threat on his life, and all the days trapped with Sakusa, Atsumu isn’t sure he’ll make it out of Tokyo alive.

Tendou is wildly, painfully beautiful, and he encompasses Ushijima’s hidden desires so accurately that he has to suck in a large breath to stop himself from blurting out the first thing that’s on his mind.
I love him.
Or, it takes Tendou's declaration that he has someone he likes to stir up unknown feelings in Ushijima that he never knew he had. But he can deal with a bit of confusion about his own emotions, right?
