Summary
Ren is snapped back from his fantasies when Goro puts his water bottle down and undoes his collar. A rush of his scent wafts through the rest area, and Ren can feel himself getting warm. Ren takes the water bottle when Goro offers it to him, and it’s like he’s smelling Goro for the first time. His wrist smells so strongly, crisp fruit wafting around them. It smells so good, his mate smells so good. He drops the water bottle and snatches Goro’s arm. He pulls off the sharp glove and pushes back the material so he can put his nose directly over Goro’s wrist. His scent seems to get stronger with every beat of his heart until it’s all Ren can smell.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Goro snaps, trying to pull his wrist away from Ren.
“You’re mine,” Ren says, yanking Goro closer.
“I didn’t realize that was up for debate.”
The return of the Metaverse means the return of Joker and Crow but it also brings out a possessiveness in Ren.

Swallowing against the tightness in his chest, Akira leaned in, his voice barely more than a whisper.
