If Hangman is intimidated, he gives no indication. In fact, he seems to grasp what Rooster is asking immediately; that stupid smirk curls the sides of his lips as he raises his chin in challenge. “This isn’t a game, Rooster. It’s just life.” The smirk widens. “Well, life and death.”

Reki purses his lips, humming. “Hmm… I guess I don’t really know what he meant.” He drums his fingers on the handlebars and then snickers. “Though he did say he’d be your cat or dog if he lost, so maybe you could ask him!”
“I don’t want him to be my dog, he’s a child.”
Langa sounds deadpan as always, yet his tone curls in Reki’s gut. Maybe it’s how close he is to his ear. Maybe it’s how he put just the slightest emphasis on the word him.

What he doesn’t expect is to see his roommate getting absolutely railed on his Barcalounger by a strange man with a goatee.
“R-Richie!!” Eddie exclaims, his eyes flying wide.
“Aw, hell!” the stranger exclaims.
“Oh, no!” Richie exclaims, to complete the trifecta of idiotic exclamations, and slams the door shut.

Because it would be a lie to say that he’s never thought about it. Hunk’s presence is so comforting; he just gets Lance, the way no one else ever has. And Lance gets Hunk right back. He’s never even gotten tired of Hunk, and they spend nearly every hour of every day together.
So of course he’s thought about it. Of course he’s thought about how it would be if he and Hunk were in love. If they were together. If somehow this perfect friendship could metamorphose into an equally perfect relationship.
