Each chapter was written so they can be read as a standalone or read together to tell an entire story. This story was originally written in 2014 and completed in 2020.
This follows MSR beginning with "The End" in season five all the way until post season 11. It is canon compliant. The continuity in the storylines always bothered me, MSR deserved more than to become an x-file. This is a result of that nagging and a labor of love.
This story is part of a larger series (titled Rooted in Friendship) that begins pre-season 1 and covers every episode of the X-Files up to Season 11 and then beyond into its own universe.

Right now, I don't currently have plans to finish this fic (July 2025) but my reasoning is hopefully understandable: I had a baby in January, and he has been suffering from a very serious life-threatening disease.
