Summary
Two months ago, a ball of light formed above a quarry in Derry, Maine.
One month ago, the world announced through every news station that was manned, that the ball of light was a scientific anomaly that would eventually swallow Earth.
Ten days ago, they announced it was speeding up in growth, and in roughly seventeen days, once it touched any part of Earth, it would immediately vaporise the ground and spread at approximately the speed of sound.
Four days ago, Richie Tozier met Eddie Kaspbrak.

Summary
Beside him, someone stirs.
Eddie turns towards it, thinking of sleepovers with the Losers, of Richie knocking on his window at 10pm and crawling into Eddie’s bed when he lets him in.
His eyes adjust. It still takes a second.
“Morning, babe,” says a man, a full-grown adult man, in his fucking bed.
(Or, 14 year old Eddie gets a glimpse into what's coming.)

“You grow out of it,” Richie mumbled, barely above a whisper.
“I don’t believe you," his younger self spat back.
“It was just a crush,” he insisted, lying through his teeth. “Puppy love. You get over it. Over him."
The kid whirled around, eyes flashing with contempt.
“I know what I feel! I can see how you feel. Fuck, I don’t get it. He’s even...he also likes…” he floundered, taking a step closer to Richie.
“Why the fuck are you with that blond dude when you’re obviously still in love with Eddie?”

Summary
“Oh Richard really, I wasn’t born yesterday. You and Eddie are hardly subtle. You never were.”
Richie blinked at his mom.
“What?”
Maggie rolled her eyes.
"There’s no need to hide it from me, sweetheart. I’ve known you two would end up together since you were ten years old. You can tell me."
His heart leaped into his throat.
“Tell you...what?”
“That you’re dating.”
Richie short-circuited.
“Ma, me and Eddie are not dating.”
