Summary
Jaeyun. Sunghoon mouths the word. The word seems to want to be in his mouth, and once it is in his mouth, it sits there cozy and warm.
“Jaeyun?” He says it out loud, the name, and he gets no response. The body is fully unconscious now but still breathing. Sunghoon looks at him, at Jaeyun, and he understands that there’s no one else here, that there’s no boat that has come in, no shipwreck.
I cannot leave this here, he thinks. I cannot leave this here, and I cannot bring any other person near it, because if anyone else came near it I don’t know what would happen, what they would do, and I do not want to know.
And then there is another thought underneath all of these. This washed up onto my sand. This is for me.
Or: For six years, the sea has been Park Sunghoon’s only company. Then she gives him Jaeyun.

Summary
exiled to a northern quarry, heeseung begins writing anonymous poems under the name evan, never intending for them to leave his hands, let alone reshape the world. but his verses spread anyway, each one written with devastating devotion toward a nameless muse who slowly becomes the center of a national obsession.
across the capital, jongseong moves quietly through galleries and salons, admired but never truly seen, while the country falls in love with him through the eyes of a stranger. evan’s words turn him into a myth, an object of worship, a beautiful ghost everyone longs for but nobody can recognize.
as “evan-esque” art ignites a cultural fever, heeseung remains trapped in exile, writing only to survive, and to reach the one person he has never stopped loving. the world thinks it is witnessing a romance between a poet and his muse, but the truth is far more dangerous: it is a story of yearning, devotion, identity, and the unbearable desire to be truly seen.
when heeseung finally begins his journey back south, the line between art and reality starts collapsing, and both men are pulled toward a reunion that has already become legend.

Summary
“you’re sim jaeyun,” jungwon says it the same way you’d say the sky is blue. “you’re one of the most well-known people on this campus. you’ve got the face and the social circle and the energy and you’re suddenly paying attention to a guy who has, by his own apparent social strategy, been invisible for three years. he probably thinks it’s a joke.”
jaeyun lifts his head. “a joke?”
“a prank,” jungwon clarifies, stirring his coffee. “a bet. the popular guy suddenly being nice to the nerd. he’s probably waiting for the punchline because from where he’s standing, there has to be one.”
the words land somewhere uncomfortable in jaeyun’s chest.
or: sim jaeyun does not develop crushes on shy nerds who colour-code their biology notes— except, apparently, when it rains.
