“I am not going to get better. I am going to get worse, and then I am going to die,” Alhaitham says plainly.

Why live through the confrontation at all when he could move out right the fuck now? If he starts packing this very second he can at least take a bag for some of his clothes and another for his most important tools. Right? Right.
Kaveh accidentally ends a phone call with “I love you.” Alhaitham… deals with it.

Now he has to convince Alhaitham to play the part, when his client insists on meeting the “love of his life”.

Summary
Ursa the Drake rose and attacked, striking villages around Mondstadt and pushing the knights to take action. Kaeya, Diluc, and Jean were tasked to help Inspector Eroch investigate and put an end to the attacks.
Following Diluc’s departure, Kaeya was left drifting, moved to work under Eroch’s care in Investigations to accommodate his healing injuries and newly-granted Vision. Jean, meanwhile, grappled with the fact that her friends had broken apart and feared the same would happen to her and her own sister.
Rising Fatui and Abyss Order activity in Mondstadt pushed Kaeya, Diluc, and Jean to move, trying to handle the problem. The fact that a knight came to town injured and unconscious only pushed the fact that things are more dire than they first thought.
Behind each and all of these instances, a figure lurked in the shadows, ready to pull the trigger to bring Mondstadt to ruins.
