" Before he had time to talk himself out of it Barry raised his hand and opened the door peering in. Seeing them snuggled up and snoring lightly almost made Barry turn tail and leave, the only thing stopping him was Mick sitting up rubbing his hand down his face and turning to the door, squinting at Barry. Len was a really deep sleeper despite what people might think, he was however easy to awaken if his sister (or any of his loved ones, which he’d deny to his dying day) was upset so Len didn’t even stir at the sound of the door creaking as it opened, but Mick on the other hand, slept pretty lightly, so the door stirred him enough to rouse him.
“Waz ‘oing on?” Micks voice with sleep coating it like a thick layer of dust was not helping Barry’s crush. "
Looking for comfort after a nightmare on a school trip Barry goes to his crushes.

Once, when Draco was a child, one of the Manor’s gardeners had ranted about weeds invading the grounds.
“These bloody plants,” Mr Herbley grunted, straining as he tore at a stubborn stem, “they survive anything—poison, cold, damage.” He paused to make sure Draco was listening. “The only way to kill them is to pull them out by the roots.”
Now that the war was over, Draco found himself thinking of that moment constantly.
The remaining Death Eaters were being sentenced, and Azkaban loomed at the edges of his life like a certainty he could not avoid.
But worse than that was the fact that he had something to lose now. Harry.
Draco only hoped that they couldn’t be uprooted.

As Wizarding Britain is picking up the pieces of a post Voldemort world, Draco and Harry fall in love while repairing the Manor.
However when a bloodthirsty Ministry determined to make examples of former Death eaters, dangles the threat of Azkaban above Draco's head, he's terrified that he'll lose it all.
Harry has hope enough for the both of them, but Draco knows that their fledgling love might be too fragile to survive.

Stanley jumps, stumbling to grab his cigarette before it falls into the slushy grass. The lit end hits his finger, and while he doesn't have too many nerves there anymore, it still smarts, and he lets out a curse as he sees the red mark form.
Fiddleford watches with a mix of exasperation and amusement, closing the door behind him as a gust of wind rushes by. “Sorry t’ startle ya.”
“Eh.” Stan leans his back on the railing, sticking the cig in his mouth to leave it there. “Was lost in my thoughts anyhow. No harm done.”
