Summary
It’s desperation that drives Felix to place himself at the mercy of someone he has no right to expect kindness from. Six months on the street with his funds running low, if one of his father’s men doesn’t kill him then the oncoming winter will. Going to Chan is a decided risk, he might put a bullet in Felix's skull instead of taking on the job he's offering, but— well. At least that death will be quick.
But Chan doesn’t kill him. He gives Felix shelter, gives him a home. And Felix finds himself in way too deep with a man who doesn’t even fully know who he’s falling for.

Some people don’t have table manners, that’s just how it is, and Soobin has never been keen on the squelch of food in someone else’s mouth as long as he doesn’t have anything between his teeth to distract himself from the noise. Soobin is just annoyed and queasy, even if his body doesn’t know better than to interpret the context otherwise.

Summary
Sure, Hyeju is pretty. She’s gorgeous, really. But she’s also very, very strange. And, not in the way that Jiwoo and Jeongin are strange. Nor in the way Seungmin and Sooyoung are. She’s strange in an off putting way— like she’s trying to hide something. She clearly puts a lot of effort into coming off as cool. That’s the whole reason why Chaewon is so dedicated to fucking with her. She really, really wants to watch Hyeju fall off center. She wants to be the one that makes it happen.
If Hyeju wants to ask her out after that, she can. Chaewon doesn’t ask women out. Women come to her. She doesn’t like to work that hard. It’s good practice for the relationship. Chaewon’s last girlfriend didn’t appreciate it. Chaewon will be sure her next girlfriend does. She deserves that much.
(OR: Chaewon firmly believes that all black coffee drinkers have something to hide, and Hyeju desperately tries to hide that she's a pathetic lesbian.)
