Summary
Jason has successfully kidnapped three children from the League of Assassins and made it all the way to the United States with them. He brought them to Metropolis with the intention of setting up lives there for the four of them, away from Batman and all his nonsense.
Too bad Bruce Wayne has other plans, and ambushes the four League-defecting children their first night in Metropolis. He just wants to make sure they know he's there, and will protect them. He had no clue Jason was among the defectors. Wasn't Jason dead?

Roy suddenly broke the silence that had settled oh so comfortably in their kitchen.
"Will you be my husband?"
What.
"What?" Jason replied out loud this time, flabbergasted.
"Will you be my husband, for an undercover thing?" Roy elaborated with a quite put-upon indifference, nose still buried in a pile of papers. He is not fooling Jason though, his leg is shaking with nerves. "I get it if the answer is no. I can make it work either way."
Being willing to die for someone is a very different thing to being willing to live for them. It takes bravery to resurrect yourself and re-discover life after all. But love can make one very brave indeed.
