The old woman smiles, and it changes her whole face. The touch of the Force this time is comforting. “I think you will already know their faces before they open the door.”

“Don’t you?” Barriss asks. She tries to keep her voice even, calm and cold, but Quinlan just skimmed her memories. The desperation shines through.
“I do.” Quinlan, all of a sudden, looks very sad and old. “Come inside, Offee.”
(Alternatively: almost six years after the Jedi Purge, Barriss Offee seeks out Quinlan Vos. Perhaps both of them have been touched by the Dark. Perhaps both of them can still save each other.)

Summary
obi-wan takes both twins to tatooine, rex and ahsoka start a rebellion, and along the way, many things turn out better than they might have in another universe.
alternatively, a self-indulgent fix it series of (mostly) standalones including but not limited to: extensive family dynamics, what it means to wear mandalorian armor, world building, clones finding their place in the galaxy, long conversations about legacy, redemption, the many different kinds of love, and stories.
(and despite what you may believe, this story is far sadder and far happier than you think.)

You want some company? plays on a loop in Saint’s head, but the tone’s never right. He’s been watching other people flirt with Jal for years and they make it look simple as breathing, so why does Saint have such a goddamn mental block about it? He saw that frown flit across Jal’s face earlier when Saint offered to tag along. It’s nothing personal, Saint knows. Kid was antsy, needed to get out and run, and Saint woulda held him back, that’s all. Not like Jal doesn’t want him around.
