Summary
He stares at the scars again. Eight weeks. They’re healing well. The surgeon said so. Clean lines. Minimal swelling. Everything textbook. They still look foreign. Not wrong. Just… unfamiliar. Like they belong to someone braver. Someone more certain.
His vision blurs slightly, and for a second he thinks it’s the steam reclaiming the mirror again. But when he blinks, the blur stays. His throat tightens, sudden and sharp.
He swallows. It doesn’t help.
“I did everything right,” he murmurs under his breath.
Hormones. Appointments. Consultations. Waiting lists. Paperwork. Needles. Recovery.
He did everything right.
So why did it still feel like he’s squinting at a stranger?

“GET THE FUCK OFF ME!”
Eddie frowned and his head swivelled around when he heard the shout. Whoever that was, they didn’t sound happy.
He took a drag of his cigarette, before dropping it to the ground, scrubbing it with his foot, and started to move. Leaving behind the building’s shadow as he made his way further out into the parking lot, shifting between the parked cars of the Hideout as he followed the sound of angry voices.
He paused as he came around the side of a car, his surprise at the scene in front of him making him freeze, Steve Harrington was possibly the last person he expected to see in the Hideout’s parking lot at 11pm.

“Eddie, why don’t you introduce yourself,” Bob suggested.
First of all, the guy was like 10% hair. Which Steve could respect, had Eddie actually done anything with it. It was clear he didn’t even know what product was, let alone how to use it. Did he even own a hairbrush? God. Steve thought about whether or not it would be against the rules to write out a hair care routine for the poor bastard before he left.
“Uhh, I’m Eddie, as Bob here said,” Eddie began with a half-assed wave. “I dunno what else you want me to say. I’m here to get shrunk, I guess.”

Under his breath, Eddie giggles. He hears the noise crest behind them as they walk, like a cloud of angry bees after their hive has been shaken up. It’s a fact, now, that Eddie Munson, resident freak drug-dealing alpha, is very publicly hanging around newly presented omega Steve Harrington. Alpha and omega, the perfect cookie-cutter combo the normies love to call a perfect match.
“Munson,” Harrington mutters, barely moving his lips. “What the fuck do you think you are doing?”
