“This guy says he knows a way to fix Jungwon,” Jake announces loudly, gesturing to Riki in his shawl.
Dr. Kim’s eyebrows crunch together and she glances between Jake and Dr. Park, exasperated. “Mr. Sim, I asked you to leave to get water. Not a conspiracist off the street.”
“But he knew about the accident,” Jake argued, desperate. “He was even waiting outside the door! Isn’t it—isn’t it worth trying?”
“Mr. Sim, he wants you to collect ‘rare herbs’ for him!” Dr. Kim insists. She exhales sharply, fixing platinum-blonde hair behind her ear. “It’s best to leave this to trained medical professionals, Mr. Sim. I understand your desperation, but we need to rely on science in times like this.”
Jake despises Heeseung, and for good reason: he pretended to befriend Jake for years until his dad gave Heeseung a million dollars in his inheritance when he died. But when Jake and his brother Jungwon get in a car accident a few years after their Big Fight, Riki the weirdo shaman says the only way to save Jungwon from a life of paralysis is for Jake and Heeseung to go on a scavenger hunt around the country for the herbs to make a healing potion.

As a single mom, Sim Jaeyun’s only worry is making sure his child has a roof over his head, clothes to wear, food in his mouth, and a proper school to go to. He swore to himself he wouldn’t care more about anything or anyone else except his son, especially after the bastard of his father ran out on them. But when Jaeyun gets fired from his old job and forced to get a new one, his problems only grow. And when he finds out he’s going to be working for the hottest man he’s ever seen, it doesn’t get any better for him. To make matters worse, his new boss isn’t exactly friendly. On top of being hot, he’s also cold, stoic, and doesn’t even smile. Some people even call him heartless. Not that Jaeyun cares. He’s just focused on working, after all.
However, then comes the day he’s forced to bring his son with him to work, and it’s almost as if every boundary he and his boss set for each other comes crashing down.
