“Barty? Yeah, I mean we’ve hooked up once or twice, but it’s just casual.”
Just casual. As if they hadn’t just tumbled through the door of Evan’s bedroom at his family’s holiday home in Cornwall, Barty already shedding his jacket as Evan kissed him feverishly. They were the first to arrive, Pandora would be another forty-five minutes and their mother shortly after that. Maybe Barty had got it wrong, that this was how someone should kiss their weed dealer, their situationship, their friend with many, many benefits. Maybe continuously fucking at least once a week for a few months was normal for friends. Evan kissed with his entire being, just a casual amount, and Barty reciprocated as he kicked his shoes to one side and let himself be pushed onto the bed.

“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.
