Summary
"Those aren't my worst desires," the woman says simply. "And why should I trust you anyway? I don't even know your name."
"Natalie," she says, reaching out and offering her her hand.
The woman smiles like Natalie's given her something far bigger than just her name. That feeling is back, crawling its way up her spine and she fights the urge to squirm. She grabs Natalie's hand, shaking it far more aggressively than she expects from such a small woman.
"I'm Misty!" she replies, dropping her hand and picking up her drink again. "So I'm curious, how'd you meet this boyfriend of yours?"
————
Or: Natalie’s boyfriend is constantly calling his ex everything from a psychotic bitch to a deeply disturbed freak and she’s unfortunately and utterly fascinated by her. Unrelated; her new friend is pretty fucking weird too. -

Summary
There aren't many places it could still be hidden. She reaches behind herself to unclasp her bra, letting it fall to the floor with her other clothes. And at first, she doesn’t see it. It’s hardly noticeable if you’re looking at her straight on but it’s right fucking there. Tucked just under her left breast, in neat, bubbly hand writing, is her soulmate's name.
Misty.
And she’s borrowed her notes enough times that there’s no fucking doubt in her mind that it’s Misty Quigley’s name forever on her body.
——-
Or: Natalie gets a soulmark and handles it the only way she thinks she can: deny deny deny. Unfortunately, the truth always finds a way to make itself known -

Natalie struggles to sleep and there’s a lot of things she could blame it on but it’s easiest to blame it all on Misty.

Summary
“Who was your first kiss with?” Misty asks her suddenly, casual in a way that reminds Natalie the woman across from her probably practices shit like this.
The look she shoots Misty must convey how she feels, how ridiculous she finds this line of conversation.
“What?” Misty says, raising her hands up, “That’s the sort of thing girls talk about, isn't it?”
“Misty.”
Misty eyes her a second, critically, before she smiles wildly, “Fine then! I’ll go first!”
——————
Or: Natalie learns what Misty considers her first kiss and she’s horrified. She never wants to hear Misty say it ever again and kisses her over it. -

Summary
If anyone asks, Natalie can wash her own damn hair, thank you very much! It doesn’t matter that she’s hurt, she totally can! Don’t look at Misty! Why the hell are you looking at Misty?? She’s got nothing to do with anything!
