Summary
The void chest was… empty.
This chest hadn't been empty in… a long time. It used to perpetually smell like roasted coffee and rich soil that Gadget liked to curl up on, careful as to not disturb the crops. It used to retain lingering traces of laughter and well-used supplies.
Some of that was still there, just a little. The wood creaked in the same spots. The chests still had random things inside of them that someone, probably Zam or Graecie, left there and then forgot about.
Legs was doing okay in the wake of Zam's return. Really, he was. He didn't feel jealous or upset or like a failure or like there was no room for him anymore or—
Okay. Yeah. He was crying, but no one was there to see it, so it was fine.

Legs has a breakdown after the events of June 23rd. He gets some comfort after a thorough smattering of angst.

“Oh,” Zam mumbled as Graecie opened her eyes. They were bleary, as if she had been crying. “Hi.”
“Wha–” Graecie looked around. “Zam?” Zam nodded, humming and scooting back as Graecie stood up. “Why’d you wake me?”
“You seemed like you were having a nightmare,” Zam answered. “I know how bad nightmares can be, so…”
AKA: zam wakes graecie from a nightmare, feeds her, and then gives her a plushie and cuddles with her to go back to sleep !!
