Donghyuck thinks he’s very lucky when it comes to taking risky decisions.
Sure, working the night shift at a crappy pizza place might not sound fabulous at all. But it’s a great job, debatably. With big perks, also debatably. If you exclude some of the tiny details, like the rude customers who threaten to send the ministry of health to them, and the absolutely disgusting smell of onions that has clung perpetually to his hands since day one, and the annoying ringing of the telephone every few minutes — And, fine, okay, there’s actually just one big perk. A perk that has a name. And is also the reason he hasn’t left this god forsaken job.
There’s this customer, Huang Renjun, who, albeit being the prettiest human who’s ever set foot on earth, is also an uncannily weird person.

Donghyuck is just too in love to be bothered by the fact his crush is a vampire.

“Sorry—didn’t mean to scare you,” Jisung mumbles, pushing his glasses back up with one finger.
Renjun’s gaze flickers to the movement. That hand. It’s ridiculously big—his fingers long and clumsy in a way that looks both awkward and strangely compelling. Renjun swallows, suddenly hyper-aware of how dry his throat feels.
He doesn’t respond right away. The alcohol makes everything slightly off-kilter, the edges of Jisung’s silhouette fuzzy, so he has to focus, really concentrate, to take him in. The details settle piece by piece: the soft grey shirt stamped with a nerdy pun Renjun doesn’t even try to understand; the faded blue jeans worn just enough to be comfortable; the beat-up red Converse, scuffed and frayed at the edges. And then, the glasses—thick black frames that belong on a library shelf more than on someone’s face. They should look ridiculous. But on Jisung, they’re… distracting.
“Hyung?”
Renjun blinks. “Yeah?” His own voice comes out low, almost cautious, like he’s afraid of startling the younger boy.
“Do you, uh… still need help with the water?”

Renjun waits until Chenle is taking a sip of his tea to tell him, “I’m sleeping with my husband."
Chenle doesn’t quite do a spit-take, but he does start sputtering. “That’s great,” he says, once he recovers. The look on his face says otherwise. “I’m happy for you."
It is kind of great, actually. Or it would be, if Renjun hadn't married Mark for the sole purpose of keeping his visa.
Or: Within the span of one year Mark and Renjun go from being strangers, to friends, to friends with benefits, to lovers. Throughout it all, they're husbands.
