For this prompt by Dayzor from the Imagine Tony and Bucky comm on Tumblr:
"Oh yay! Super excited!! I've been sitting on a couple prompts haha Imagine a Sentinel/Guide AU- Tony is a guide, something kept from the public as Howard always saw it as weak. Bucky is a sentinel, and HYDRA made a point to never send the Winter Soldier after any guides to avoid natural instincts breaking through their programming. They send him after Tony, not knowing better."
The Winter Soldier had never had a Guide.
They told him that he must not approach or engage a Guide. They didn't explain why, but he knew better than to ask. He was the Winter Soldier, Sentinel and weapon. The only things he needed to know were what they told him.
And two days ago, they'd told him to kill Tony Stark.

Summary
Every winter, Lambert, Eskel and Geralt have a tradition of getting drunk and sharing stories of the past year. A few times, Geralt's stories have included mentions of an annoying, human bard who insists on following him around. The stories did nothing to prepare Lambert for seeing Geralt and Jaskier together.

Summary
The thing about Bucky these days is that, while he might be a semi-mythical assassin, he's also vulnerable—the kind of vulnerable that makes total strangers want to drape a blanket over his shoulders and take him to safety. The problem is, of course, that Bucky is already safe.
The first time it happens, Bucky has no idea how to react. He and Steve are walking down the street, when a slight woman takes in Bucky’s terrified eyes, the dark circles so bad they almost look like bruises, and Steve’s protective hand resting on his lower back, guiding him down the busy sidewalk (but it must look possessive, to someone looking for a sign), and comes to the wrong conclusion.
