Summary
Neil was panting, lips red and swollen from the earlier harshness of Andrew's own. His head was tilted back, Andrew's position knelt at his feet giving him a perfect view of the long line of his neck.
Andrew couldn't be embarrassed by his desperation to get Neil's pants off. He needed to get his dick in his hands, needed to feel its warmth, the way it would harden in his hands.
He needed to see Neil's face, honest and overwhelmed in pleasure when he finally put his mouth on him. He practically salivated at the thought.
Andrew finally ripped Neil's boxers down to the sound of his stuttered breathing, only to freeze in place. There was a large patch of unruly hair, darker and longer than Andrew's had ever been, but that wasn't what gave him pause.
"Andrew?" Neil murmured in confusion.
Andrew inhaled sharply, the closest thing to regret he'd ever felt welling up from deep in his bones. Here was someone who trusted him, who understood him, who was quite possibly the most attractive man Andrew had ever seen, and he wanted Andrew. Except Andrew had no idea what to do with the fact that Neil didn't have a dick.

Summary
"When did you get your boots?" Neil was looking across the aisles, away from where Andrew had taken to dropping offensive fabrics off their hangers.
He narrowed his eyes, "My senior year of highschool. Why."
Neil shrugged his shoulders, turning back to him, "No reason. They're nice is all. It was the only part of the outfit you gave me on my first trip to Columbia that I actually liked."
Andrew turned that over in his head, agonized at the question about to leave his lips, "Why?"
Neil blinked, confusion clear on his face, "Huh?"
Andrew's glare darkened, violence in his gaze as he forced himself to continue, "Why did you like them?"
Neil was smiling now, in that amused way that said he realized how much Andrew was giving away. It was something else Andrew knew Neil liked, the way Andrew bent for him and only him.
"I liked how good they would've been for kicking your face in, pretty sure I fantasized about that for an entire week after you drugged me," Neil dragged his hand across his face as he spoke, clearly trying to claw the smile off of it before Andrew could see.

Summary
Inej Ghafa is a principal dancer of the Kerch National Ballet, haunted by a past she'd rather forget. Kaz Brekker is a mob boss who holds the city in the palm of his hand.
Perhaps if all were right with the world, two such people would never meet. Or perhaps fate will always give those who need each other a push in the right direction.
It begins, as so many things in Ketterdam do, with a murder.

Summary
“I’d be bored to death if you died,” he says. His voice doesn't betray him. He was almost sure it would.
Neil actually laughs a little, though it sounds a little weak with the damaged throat. “No, you wouldn't. I'd haunt you to make sure.”
