"Well," Hawks rolled on his feet, looking nervous with his hands in his pockets. "Want to get something to eat then?"
Touya felt his jaw drop and just stared at the bird for a moment, letting an awkward silence hang over them. "Are," he blinked a few times and tried to shake off his shock. "Are you seriously asking me out right now?"
Now hawks looked shocked and mildly mortified. "What, no! No, of course not." He all but yelled, hands held in front of him in a gesture of innocence. His panic was mildly funny to Touya. "I just feel like if I try to take you to the hospital you'll find a way to stab me with my own feathers. And it's not like I can just leave you alone after that."

He received a calculating look, like he was debating what to say and how Chuuya would react and the fist of worry was back again. He hated that look, but on his pale sickly complexion, it bothered him even more.
Finally, he opened his mouth, breathing out the words that made Chuuyas' world come to a full stop. "I'm leaving."

He could feel Hawks looking at him so he rolled over to face him, and looked into his sweet honey eyes. His sunshine eyes were soft and a little sleepy crinkled a bit at the corners from his smile. The smile he gave him was so soft and open, something about his look made it hard to breathe. It was like a weight was on his chest as it clicked. He knew what he was going to say before he said it, his entire being screaming for Hawks to stop, to not ruin this.
"I think I love you." Hawk's voice was low and soft, the words too sweet.

To Zagreus’ dismay (although not surprise), the brainstorming session was not going well.
To be fair to his fellow frat brothers, they had barely any idea how to woo someone completely unaffiliated with Greek life, much less Thanatos, Zagreus’ childhood best friend and triple English literature, philosophy, and history major who had recently transferred to their university and absolutely hated Zagreus’ guts for running off to such a faraway university and leaving him behind.
