Summary
Deep underground, beneath the inconspicuous façade of ModHaus Laboratory, alarms were silent, but dread filled the air. Fluorescent lights flickered as a lone scientist sprinted down a narrow corridor, his lab coat flapping behind him like a torn flag. His breath was sharp and panicked, hands fumbling as he reached the end of the hallway. He slammed the elevator button repeatedly.
A faint ding. The doors creaked open. Relief barely crossed his face before it was obliterated. A sudden invisible force slammed down from above. Then he vanished into thin air.
