Horatio snaps upright, then presses his palm back to Hamlet’s chest. Two fingers to the side of his neck, then the base of each wrist. Horatio checks once twice thrice, his eyes widening. Because there, faint but certain through Hamlet’s skin, is a pulse.
Hamlet is alive.
(Hamlet lives, the tragedy continues, and Horatio picks up the pieces.)

“No, no, of course not.” Bossuet clears his throat, then takes Joly’s hand. “We simply…” He seems to lose the correct words, and looks to Musichetta.
“What he wishes to say,” Musichetta starts, “is that we have been speaking with your friends and confessed to them our interest in… well, our interest in entering into marriage with you.”
