Summary
In cases of adolescent alphas or omegas experiencing significant psychological distress, the body can enter a fight-or-flight stasis that may delay or, in severe cases, entirely prevent presentation. For omegas, especially, this can cause complications in the mid- to late-twenties, when the body experiences a second hormonal shift. In cases where the omega fails to present entirely, this can be fatal.
Or, at age 17, Suguru Geto did not present. At 25, that fact is coming back to bite him in the ass. The solution? Finding an alpha willing to help induce heat. It's too bad the only alpha he trusts with this (probably) wants him dead.
