Summary
Vi emerges from Stillwater on the search for her sister, Powder, and discovers that too much has changed.
“You waiting for me, Cupcake?” Caitlyn nearly jumped at the voice, her notebook and pen falling off her lap as she turned her body and saw none other than the stranger from yesterday. She quickly scrambled to her feet and picked up her things, stammering as the other stared at her, hands in her pockets, probably unimpressed.
“N-No, I was just- I was—”
“Yeah, yeah. I thought about what you said.” The shorter of the two interjected.
“A-And?” Caitlyn blinked, her notebook and pen held tightly against her chest. She looked down at her, the latter’s gaze falling to the ground as she scratched her nape and let out a sigh.
“And I think…” Vi sighed and grumbled under her breath, her head shaking as though she were shaking out the next set of words from deep within her, “I think I want to…enroll.”
