    “Hollander? This is okay with you?”

    Shane opens his mouth to say no are you all crazy there is no way I could get naked in front of you without you being able to see how desperately I want you, but swallows it down.

    “Sure. Yeah, it’s fine. I’m okay.”

    “So kids, for the last week, we’ve been discussing the fundamentals of duelling.” Shane lounged easily against his desk, robes hanging open haphazardly. Ryan snorted to himself, sitting at the back of the huge room, and he saw Shane’s ear twitch.

     

    “So today, now that I have a partner, it seems like a fantastic time to demonstrate!” He announced. It was Ryan’s turn to twitch. “Professor Bergara is your new Divination teacher, he’ll be starting his classes after the weekend. Please stand up, Professor.”

     

    “E-excuse me?” Ryan said, turning terribly red.

     

     

    In which Ryan sees the future and moves to Scotland, meets his hero and isn't impressed, hears strange noises in the night, and interrogates some ghosts. After all these years, the castle still keeps its secrets.

    Ilya fucking Rozanov stares back at him.

    winks. 

    The girl in front of Shane squeals like it had been directed to her, but Shane knows Rozanov too well from the one time they'd played each other in the 17-and-unders. Or rather, Shane knows him as the chaser that kept Team Canada from winning the junior league last year. 

    Ilya fucking Rozanov only winks at people he wants to piss off.

    Shane is so, so fucked.

    Or: Durmstrang student Ilya and Slytherin Head Boy Shane commiserate about the lack of Quidditch, and maybe even solve the mystery surrounding their strange new DADA professor. (And possibly fall in love, if Harry Potter would stop accusing Shane of being an evil Slytherin.)
