“It is,” Rui says without thinking, like something is ripping the words from his throat. “It is worth it. It’s a risk I’m willing to take.”
There’s something anxious about the way Tsukasa looks at him. “And that’s exactly why we should stay away from each other.”

Everything around him seemed to be warm and happy. What is this? What is this funny, happy feeling he gets from making other people smile? Satisfaction? Fulfillment?

Nene does not press for the rest of his sentence. She just pats his head, and says, “I know, Rui.”

It all started with a calling on the bluest day of July.Rui never cared about the summer holidays. It was always the same: waking up, fixing robots, performing a show or two down the street, and then going back to sleep before he repeated the cycle. He was wasting his youth for the past five years, Rui knew this, but it was too late for him to start over now.
That was until Tsukasa brought him on a two-day trip to somewhere he wouldn't tell.
With only him.
And perhaps…it was the start of something new.
