Pain flooded the skin of her face and she tasted something metallic. When her eyes adjusted again, she was faced with two green irises and a mad wrinkled face staring down at her. 

   Eren still had her collar and scarf tight in his fist, holding her against the poles. Her hands clumsily tried to reach his arm that gripped her. “Eren—,“ she choked, “You’re—hur—hurting me!“ She felt her eyes heat up and become watery.
