Summary
The man's expression morphed from excitement to confusion to concern in a matter of seconds when you unzipped your jacket to reveal a crimson stain growing larger against your white work shirt.
"Excuse me..." you whispered, the edges of your vision began to turn black.
"I - I'm really sorry to bother you but... I - I think....I think I've been shot?"
And with that, you crumpled to the ground as everything around you went dark.

i couldn’t tell you the last time i read a y/n fic. probably 5 years ago, when i used to read a lot of wattpad? and i kind of thought it had stopped being my cup of tea, because i’ve only read ship stories since then—but oh my goodness. there was just something about the synopsis of this fic that was very compelling, and let me tell you—it took me right back to my wattpad phase. it felt like it was 2020 again, and i was reading fics where ot7 all got equal focus due to y/n being involved. i’ve genuinely missed that so much i tell ya. but even more than that, this fic made me laugh so fucking much!! it’s been so long since i laughed so much while reading a long fic and oh the joy this gave me. i wish men like the bangtan in this story were real, but unfortunately we all know how non-existent that is. but ugh i loved the communication, loved y/n’s character, and ofc our lil’ yugyeom the cutest kid on this fucking planet !!! overall, thank you to this fic for giving me loads of laughs, and reminding me of what life was like during my peak bts era.

Summary
“It wasn’t a joke? You actually want to resign?”
A small nod. “Yes, I’ve started drafting the job posting to find a suitable replacement. Rest assured…”
Mingyu drowns the deep voice of his secretary out as he retrieves the letter of resignation. He pauses to look at it, actually look at it, and proceeds to let out a bark of laughter.
Secretary Jeon pauses his dialogue to stare at his boss, who was bending over with high-pitched laughter. Before he could inquire what the joke was, however, Mingyu walks towards him with the envelope in hand, and roughly rips the the piece of stationery in two.
“No.” He looks at a wide-eyed Wonwoo with a smug expression. “My answer is no. Now leave.”

just, wow. never thought i’d grow to tolerate or like mingyu’s character, but i did, which i’m glad for honestly. i appreciate how his asshole tendencies were acknowledged rather than just being something we’d have to accept in this fic for the sake of romance.
the most real chapter, for me, was when wonwoo received his first day off. how he felt like he didn’t know who he was without work, and how his younger brother felt the same. how wonwoo had spent his entire life helping people to make their burden a little easier, how wonwoo always comforted others to make sure they’d be okay… yet when had anybody done that for him? the way you wrote that chapter really was so tear inducing ugh.
what made me laugh so much in this fic was mingyu’s sheer creativity in messing up peoples names. it was absolutely hilarious, because damn what incredible ways to get someone’s name wrong in like a thousand baffling ways. i swear, jun’s name mess ups were the funniest, like they were so absurd it was hilarious lmao 😭
anyway, this fic constantly had me on the edge of my seat, and i thoroughly enjoyed reading it :)

Bookmarker's Notes
i am… at such a loss of words. i thought about so many things to say while reading but god i should’ve made note of them cause there’s so much i can’t keep track anymore 😭 i’ll try my best though.
first of all, i have no clue how to explain this properly but like— the way you executed each part of the story, had me unable to look away. i was so fucking frustrated because i wanted to read what happened next and istg i wish i was the flash or something because my curiosity was so strong i didn’t have any patience lmao, desperate to know what happens next
but that’s also the thing, you know? i say i was desperate to know what happened next, but like a lot of the story is something you don’t have to play a guessing game for? like you know wongyu are meant to be together from the get go or you know there’s supposed to be something with junhao and it’s not something you have to *predict* but even so! even if i knew the sequence of events that would play out you somehow made me so desperate to read more as if everything was completely unpredictable, and the story slipped out of my grasps with the more i read— and the only reason for that is your incredible execution. you write so uniquely, it’s commendable.
of course, this is not to say that the plot itself was predictable or something— it was not even close to a generic story. everything was planned and done really well, the story was slow burn but the story barely ever felt slow at all (except when i was annoyed i couldn’t read as fast as the flash lmaoo), and i just couldn’t put the fic down.
(spoilers from here) the interlude is where your intelligence really, started to shine through. god that was one monster of a 22K words chapter, it is literally a whole fic of it’s own 😭 but i genuinely, truly enjoyed reading it. fuck man i started crying while listening to the dawning of spring, curse you for having that song resonate so strongly with their lost childhood. it was painful, you know? however, i have to say, your ability of world building is truly impressive. you took something as simple as a childhood meeting and turned it into a story that could only be your own.
my favourite part of the story was wonwoo’s talk with his dad, at the hospital. the dialogues just really, really drew me in. yeah there have been stories before including child neglect and then seeing the parent after many years blah blah you know what i mean, but i don’t think i’ve ever seen one executed like this. yeah there’s been forgiveness or whatever before i don’t know… but the way, wonwoo was able to accept him into his life again after all that time… it just feels like nothing i’ve ever read before, but something i’ve always wanted to read.
i also loved the epilogue— where jeonghan and joshua weren’t indifferent towards humans anymore— they understood a little more now, because of mingyu. it makes me sort of proud hahah.
i also just *knew* that mingyu was alive even after being turned back because wonwoo wished for him to appear. normally that could just be a passing statement so i brushed the thought away but then there seemed to be the freaking meteor shower! combine that with wishes, and what do you get? wishes coming true. i got so excited hahah and when you confirmed it in the end notes i truly felt ecstatic for predicting that because i feel like such a detail could easily get overlooked, but i’m so happy i noticed it.
anyway, i just want to say that this story gave me an overwhelming amount of happiness. i loved the friendship that bloomed between wonhui, and my heart will forever melt at the fact that wonwoo’s happiest memory is the first time he met jihoon and soonyoung.
after a sort of reading slump with no books hitting for me, i finally found ones that were legitimately interesting, okay? but this is the first one after that slump that’s made me read so fast because i just needed to know what happened next— the first one after that slump that made me feel that emotion of pure happiness while foolishly grinning at the screen. i missed that feeling, so thank you for that, really.
you’re an amazing writer 💓

Bookmarker's Notes
WOW. that’s literally all i can say right now because i’m genuinely in shock. this fic was fucking brilliant, is what it was. i did not expect to end up enjoying it to the extent i have, yet akin to the feelings of all 4 scoundrels in this fic— i was hooked.
i don’t even know what specific parts to mention because there was just so many and it felt like my mine was on an adrenaline rush all throughout reading this.
firstly, i have always wanted to read a heist fic. heist movies are always irrevocably awesome, so there would be no reason that a heist book wouldn’t either— and clearly i was right about that.
(spoilers from here) the description of the painting ‘gates to hell’ was truly just so… it gave me goosebumps, especially with the artist’s last words being “if there is a god, he will have to beg for my forgiveness.” this phrase has ALWAYS just hit so hard, especially due to knowing its origin— that it was carved on the walls of a concentration camp cell during WWII by a jewish prisoner.
one moment that had me wanting to scream into my pillow was when midoriya said, “i chose the people who NEEDED to prove themselves,” and “i chose the people who WILL be heroes.” like man, way to give me shivers?? plus shinsou’s reaction to that line was just so poetic that i couldn’t do anything but screenshot and highlight that sentence so that i would never forget it, “shinsou jolted, and a fluorescent like gaze met his own.” mind blown.
you know, when i clicked on this, i did not expect to be smacked in the face with the best trope in the entire world—found family—though the not knowing is what arguably made it so much better. god just this unlikely bandit of idiots coming together to create an absolutely captivating catastrophe was fucking marvellous. them working together and getting closer was just so heartwarming, especially when the 4 of them revealed their most painful experiences to each other, like wow what a beautiful testament to their growing closeness and trust. i absolutely adored that midoriya felt so happy with this bundle of misfits, because as he should !! he deserves this, all of them do.
moving on to the actual heist, midoriya’s match of mahjong with president nishimoto had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. i was absolutely awe stricken by the way this boy’s brain works because goddamn it never fails to amaze me. of course it was obvious that he WOULD end up winning the name tag, it was still just so fucking satisfying to see it written out, akin to the feeling when you crack your knuckles, or when you bite into food expecting it to be burning hot but ends up being the perfect temperature. needless to say, seeing president nishimoto’s point of view was also extremely intriguing. he is quite a smart fellow, and seeing him internally quivering under the calculating gaze of izuku—a 15 year old boy—felt so powerful. you wrote that entire scene out really well.
oh and before i forget to mention, during the last chapter i finally decided to play the classical song listed at the top, and let me just say it was PERFECT at igniting that flame of passion and excitement inside me. i found myself playing it on repeat because it set the mood of the scenes so profoundly. “The Four Seasons - Antonio Vivaldi,” it’s an incredible musical piece and got me so hyped haha.
lastly, i was NOT expecting nedzu to get on stage and just freaking announce the entire plan 😭😭 but midoriya was right, that is such a nedzu thing to do. therefore, seeing that play out, with all the pro-heroes attempting to catch them and failing, shinsou brainwashing them into fighting each other like fools, aizawa grinning, todoroki subtly using his quirk to make the heroes slip (i love this kid), monoma tricking 1-B into thinking he’s gonna capture the trio only for him to turn around, throw up both his middle fingers and laugh maniacally while saying “SUCKERS! HAHAHAHA” (ok i know this part didn’t actually happen but a girl can dream okay 😭), and just everything. every single part was spectacular.
i was caught so off guard when nedzu finally asked midoriya what favour he wanted granted, only for midoriya to say “i don’t have one.” what a brilliant power move.
all in all, this fic was amazing, and you ended it perfectly too. i’m so so glad i read it, and will forever be playing “the four seasons” on repeat for years to come now haha (as i should.)

"Jungkook?" a voice calls behind him, worried, careful.
He doesn't respond.
"Jungkook, hey. What are you doing over there?"
"I'm not trying to die," Jungkook says, almost to himself. And he isn't. He isn't trying to die.
He wishes this could feel more like existing.
.
(Or: Jungkook finally graduates and meets Yoongi again, two years later. A lot has changed, apparently, except for Jungkook himself.)

Bookmarker's Notes
the way this fic captures depression is more real than anything i have read before. it causes a type of sadness to pierce deep into my bones, in a way that feels so, so heavy.
like, whenever i read something, i always highlight the parts that make me sad in blue. and god, this fic is filled with blue.
i don’t think i could ever forget this series, though.
i definitely understand how emotionally exhausting it was for you to write this, because it was that way for me as a reader too—even more than the other parts, which is really saying something.
but i am so grateful to have stumbled across this series. i found it because i really felt like reading something related to blue & grey, and landed up in this goldmine that gave me so much more than i bargained for.
its been a real journey, honestly. i finished university a few weeks ago, started reading this an hour before i had to leave for the airport a couple of days ago, and just couldn’t stop.
it started off addictive, but i slowly grew more and more attached to it to the point that i am terribly sad to let it go. i never could’ve predicted this, but i would read this every day if i could—just as a slice of life, even—their daily life.
i’m also going to pretend that this part ended with a new year’s kiss between jungkook and yoongi, just as a form of closure in case we never get a part four.
but either way, this series means so much to me, and i will keep it in my heart forever. i feel like a different person after reading it, and really want you to understand just how impactful your writing is. it made me ache so much, yet made me hopeful, all at once.
anyways, it is 3am, and i have been playing blue & grey on repeat for the past hour. will probably fall asleep listening to it too.
there are so many moments i want to mention, but i don’t think it would even be possible to put it into words. plus, it’s getting late, i should sleep lol. good night, as the song says.
