“Noya,” Asahi tells him. “Nishinoya Yuu.”
Suga smiles and Asahi knows he picked up on everything that was in his voice as those syllables moved softly over his tongue. “Cute name,” he says. “Maybe worth falling for, huh?”
Asahi doesn't miss the double meaning in his friend’s words, and he doesn't say no.'

Asahi wants the earth to swallow him whole when he accidentally crashes into tiny Nishinoya Yuu while riding his bike. He remains unsure of his stance on disappearing off the face of the planet after Noya asks him out on a date. But with the (somewhat aggressive) encouragement of his best friends/roommates, Asahi takes one small step forward, and soon finds himself doing a lot less hiding and a lot more living than he ever thought he could.

"Buck up buttercup," Ryuu said. They had reached the edge of the skatepark. He let his skateboard down in a controlled drop, wheels to the smooth concrete. "If the interview with Daichi-san goes well enough maybe you can get him to give you Asahi-san's number."
And just like that, he was back in the game. "Ryuu," Noya said proudly. "You're a genius."
"I know, kiddo." Ryuu gently set Kiyoko's things down on the concrete bench that jutted out the rest off the skatepark, his movements contrasting wildly with the smirk on his face. "You ready to meet me in the snake run?"
"Born ready."
They were gonna interview Daichi next Saturday night. Six days. In six days, he was gonna potentially have Azumane Asahi's number.
A grin split his face. Ballin'.Noya is a late night show host who has a crush on the dude who plays basketball at the park. Asahi is the dude who plays basketball at the park.

Tadashi has moved on. He lives in Sendai, teaches his kids, and pretends he doesn't cry himself to sleep some nights thinking about his former best friend.
Kei has also moved on. He has a son, now. He lives, eats, breathes Makoto. He works in the Sendai museum and makes sure Makoto is taken care of. He doesn't have time to pine after someone who rightfully hates him, or so he tells himself.
