On the last night of his honeymoon cruise, Tom meets Greg, who is desperately trying to make it big in the casino. Lucky for the both of them, Tom just married into the family that owns the ship and runs the Parks & Cruises division himself. A deeply charged, drunken night of playing mentor and sharing success simply can’t be left at that.
When Tom later discovers that this man is his wife’s cousin, and Greg, that the man who helped him is his estranged cousin’s husband, it’s hard to accept as a matter of coincidence. Swimming in the same water regardless, the two become bound by a precarious secret. Although this is quickly far from the only thing that binds them. I didn't originally intend to create a series from it, but I've resolved to be a lot more self-indulgent in my writing, and I have a lot of established-relationship fic premises rattling around. And I just have a lot of ideas about what would happen to the overall timeline if Shawn and Lassiter had gotten together as early as season 3.
Most fics will be able to be read autonomously.

Psych 2.0: the improved version
Much like my in between the lines series, any of these fics can be read autonomously unless stated otherwise, BUT they all fit into a larger picture. While IBTL fits into canon, this series fits into a much more ideal version of canon.
AKA the version of canon that wasn't affected by heteronormativity and highkey misogyny in regards to Juliet. The version of Psych that was moving in the shassie direction from the beginning, while still being as canon-typical as it gets. Some fics will still technically be canon compliant, and others with small divergences that more fluidly build up to "canon" shassie than actual canon.
