This author is the BEST I've ever read in this fandom at writing first kiss scenes and that magical combo of UST + desperately trying to hold back + feels that make Alec lose it! Beautiful writing and both are magically in-character. Ellie isn't a boorish loudmouth who barges in everywhere and abuses Alec in public. So beautiful.
