Summary
It’s been almost a year now that Junhui, Minghao, and Vernon have been friends; one might even call them best friends at this point. The fact that it’s junior year, where they have even more freedom than usual, makes everything even better for them to be able to hang out and have fun while having a little more time to worry about college later.
However, when Minghao starts befriending Seungkwan from his psychology class and inviting them with the group, things get weird fast. Vernon and Seungkwan seem to have an awkward relationship with each other, almost as if they knew each other before. And bit by bit, Junhui and Minghao figure out that before they came along, Seungkwan had been Vernon’s friend… and perhaps a bit more, only for it to have somehow come crashing down. What happened back then, and will it happen again?

Vernon wasn't sure how he'd missed it, because now that he was seeing it, it was obvious. He didn't see Seungkwan as delicate or something—despite his limp wrists and iced coffees and intricate skincare routine, Seungkwan was his jock boyfriend, not the other way around—but careful was just how Vernon had always treated small things, like cats or kids or Jihoon's outward displays of affection; that was why all of those things liked him so much.
Between developing a consistent workout routine and not quite having stopped growing yet, Vernon's pretty big now. And that's not surprising, but he hadn't understood that it would also mean that Seungkwan would be smaller than him. When the realization hits him, he isn't quite sure what to do.
