    “Do you want to go?” Chrissy asks. She’s still got her hand in Eddie’s collar, like she’s worried he’ll bolt. He’s a fool if he does, Steve thinks.

    “Well,” he tries. “You don’t want to kiss Eddie with an audience.”

    Chrissy makes that expression again, jaw set like she’s figuring out a problem. She takes a deep breath. “Who says I just want to kiss Eddie?”
