Summary
Jonny wakes up first, a foot away from Patrick on the bed and tangled in the sheets he'd kicked off in the night. Patrick in his sleep is a mostly unremarkable thing. His hair is a few weeks overdue for a haircut, just a shade too long, and he's snoring softly, mouth open and drool gathering on the pillow beneath him.
Jonny would go to the ends of the Earth with him. He would kill and die with him. He has gotten into really ill-advised brawls at rec-league volleyball tournaments with him. When Jonny thinks about the enormity of all that, everything else pales in comparison.

“You hooking up?” TJ asks after Jonny’s stared at his phone for several minutes, eyes blurring at the simple line of text from Patrick. TJ’s a bro. If Jonny’s hooking up, he’s not going to get in his way, even if they had planned to kill the rest of the wine box during their all night Lord of the Rings marathon.
“Nah,” Jonny says, even if the idea of it makes his head spin. For all that Patrick’s a mess of a twenty year old, there’s something appealing there. “This one's definitely straight.”
TJ snorts. “Right. I text all my casual male acquaintances shit that makes their faces do,” he gestures vaguely to Jonny's face, “that at eleven-thirty at night.”

Summary
“She seems nice,” Jonny says after a moment of awkward silence passes between them.
“She is nice,” Patrick agrees. With no glass to hold in his hands, he fidgets awkwardly, fingertips rubbing his chapped lips. “You look good, Jonny.”
“Thank you,” Jonny says tightly, like it’s not killing him. Like watching Patrick’s big fingers skirt over his lips and jaw and chin isn’t killing him. “You know, I have some pictures of you naked in my old apartment if you think that would refresh your memory.”
Patrick’s hands still. “You still jerk off to those?” he asks, voice all chilly indifference that used to make Jonny want to punch him in his goddamn face.

Stiles wishes he could just worry about things like passing his classes and not getting eaten during his Care of Magical Creatures class with Professor Lovegood during his last year at Hogwarts. That's kind of hard to do when the people who put him and his other-mother under the Cruciatus Curse at the end of his sixth year are on the lam. He definitely doesn't have time to worry about adding another person to their relationship, no matter what Scott keeps saying about Derek Hale. And Derek comes with his own set of problems, like a past that might be more relevant to Stiles' current problems than he realizes.
