Zack straightened up immediately, rising to a stand. The truck rolled onward, its tires running over larger stones that caused the vehicle and its occupants to lurch forward slightly. The driver barked at him to sit back down, which Zack only did because he felt like it would be better for his nerves.
“Oh yeah, Midgar!” Zack said triumphantly, leaning over to where Cloud was sitting against the back of the truck, head lolled listlessly to one side. In a softer voice, the older man said, “We’re finally here, Cloud. I can see the main pillar in the distance. Just a little more and we’ll be safe, alright?”

The sword on his back was as heavy as usual when he ascended the stairs, but he thought the weapon felt more like a steady, solid presence behind him, hugging his backside and comforting him. A familiar feeling, like the way home felt.

Summary

Hoping to find some comfort in the recordings, she jumps at the opportunity. However, what is revealed only leads to more questions than answers, and the tearing open of wounds long scabbed over.
