Curious, wanting hands traveled through red strands of hair; it was soft, Cloud mused, finding the back of Reno’s head and pulling him closer. Reno laughed into Cloud’s mouth, pulling back only enough to study Cloud’s dazed, flushed expression.
“God,” Reno murmured against his lips, yet refrained from stealing another kiss. “Who knew you’d be so goddamn needy?”
“You really just don’t shut up, huh?” Cloud quipped, and the venom he’d meant to infuse his words with was nothing more than a small trace of bitterness on his tongue, incredibly overpowered by the desperation that clung to his voice.
“I’d watch that tongue of yours, Strife.”

The rain had been pouring for hours, hammering relentlessly against Ethan’s umbrella as he wandered the outskirts of Goldenrod City. His grip tightened around his Pokegear, eyes flicking over the message on the screen over and over again. Nearly twenty minutes had passed since he’d begun searching, his concern mounting with each second as the last traces of sunlight disappeared beyond the horizon.
Then, at last, he spotted a familiar flash of red hair in the distance. Relief surged through him, and he quickened his pace. Silver sat slumped against a wall, completely drenched, his arms locked around his torso in a futile attempt to fend off the cold. Without a word, Ethan shifted his umbrella to cover them both.

“Nope,” Dazai replied almost immediately, popping the p. He kept his eyes closed, an easy smile on his lips. “You can busy your pretty face by setting the table.”
Sigma blinked in surprise, pulling his shoulders back. “...Pretty face?” he repeated to himself quietly.
Dazai looked back at him, water running in the background. “Your face is very pleasant to look at,” he said, “Didn’t you know?”
