The dark spaces between the piercing light wove with secret legends as the moon recounted the tales. Every sound the sky above made glid across her mind and had Evangeline’s chest straining for breath at the elegant grace of the space around, body yearning to find the steps to match the notes sung.
Until they went silent, muted, and simply watched once more. The sounds of the breathing forest filled the space of her mind.
Then.
“You didn’t get far, Little Fox.”
An arm wrapped unforgivably firm around the front of her waist. Evangeline’s body lurched forward as the tight frame behind enfolded her senses, but the rigid hold along her skin only hardened. Hot breath spilling across the humming thrill of her ear.

Baking spicy lemon pies in the Hollow 👀The book ends, but the story continues as we follow our heroes through their happy end in the Hollow. Buuuuuut we gotta remember who were dealing with here, Evangeline leans into the true nature of her fox, while Jacks settles back into his - and a small chase begins.
Continuation of The Infinity of a Heart, but can be read as standalone.
