Summary
In the s2 finale, the Port Investigation caused both Nick and Spiros to flee Baltimore, one to escape the FBI, the other to escape the mob's vengeance and into Witness Protection. But in s5, they both surprisingly returned, and thanks to the show for justifying the sequel! According to Simon's interview, Nick eventually left the program, missing his old life and family.
Thanks to your comments I came back to continue it after 12 years, yay! Also, I've been working on my Greek for the last 5 years, so Spiros's Greek is better in this fic than it was in The Wire.
