Summary
Zhenya has always been grateful to be human. He’d had his moments of boyhood jealousy, but years of experience have made him happy to leave the wolves and their particularities to their packs. Zhenya knows enough to keep himself out of trouble—bared teeth mean anger, squinted eyes mean suspicion, ears back mean fear—but most of the time, Sid, Tanger and Pascal are normal hockey players, except for when they run off into the woods of Sewickley around the full moon.
And except for when Sid turns up on Zhenya’s property every few months, quiet and watchful and wolfish.
