Summary
"Humans do not lie down and take whatever it is fate has decided the outcome to be, even if such a struggle is futile. Such determination is most admirable, and part of why you intrigue me so."
Or: Flins comes across an injured Albedo, unknowingly stumbling upon his non-human nature in the process.

Summary
“Actually, Mr. Varka took the liberty of including an.. endearing doodle of me, leaving me with no choice but to draw someone else if I wished to contribute.”
Albedo stared at the small painting within the card in awe, gloved fingers tracing the brushstrokes. “You painted me..?” he breathed, looking up to see Flins’ slight smile as the taller man nodded.
“Yes, I hope you don’t mind.”
“Of course I don’t mind. It’s beautiful,” Albedo praised, bringing his gaze back down to further admire it. The fact that the Lightkeeper must have keenly observed him for a prolonged period to portray his likeness so accurately made him flush a little. “I had no idea you were such an artist, Mr. Flins.”
Or: In regards to the relationship between an artist and a muse, Albedo is quite used to being the artist, and is therefore taken aback when he finds himself becoming the subject of a certain Lightkeeper’s work. As their relationship develops, Albedo realizes he rather enjoys the prospect of being the muse for once, and may have just found love along the way.

Summary
For a moment the only sound that could be heard was the rustling of fabric before Atsushi broke the silence to say, “I mourned you. And you… you fought to get me back.”
Akutagawa went very still. “…Yes,” he eventually conceited.
“Why?”
Akutagawa didn’t answer right away. He sat with a heavy sigh and ran a hand through his hair. “I don’t know.”
Or: After indulging in what at first appears to be nothing more than a one night stand following Dostoevsky‘s defeat, Atsushi and Akutagawa manage to work up the courage to face the feelings they have been hiding from.

Summary
“I know my own story pretty well at this point, with it literally being a written fairytale and all, and that Durin…” The little dragon’s gaze shifted over to the snowy peaks of Dragonspine which was only partly visible from where the pair were standing. He looked sad as he continued, “I think I know his story pretty well too. But the other Durin absorbed the remains of ‘Subject Two’ before he and I merged, meaning Subject Two is… he’s also a part of me.”
Or: With Albedo still in Nod-Krai and Wanderer all the way in Sumeru, Durin turns to Kaeya, a fellow child of sin, to seek some answers. Kaeya has questions of his own though, and the little dragon admits something he has yet to tell anyone else.

Summary
“Even if you’re all grown up now, you’re still… You’re the strongest person I’ve ever met, Little Violet, but you shouldn't need to be strong all the time. You should have someone to take care of you, to help you up when you stumble. I know I haven’t always been the best guardian—I sometimes say the wrong thing or don’t know how to help you when you’re struggling—but I want to take care of you.”
Or: An unexpectedly tender moment between Violet and Hodgins makes him begin to realize that perhaps his desire to be a father could be fulfilled through Violet. However, like all parents, he must also eventually learn to let her go.
