“Your mom,“ Trinity said. She didn’t even hesitate. She reached over, grabbed the phone, and started to swipe the screen like she was actually going to pick it up and start a conversation.
Dennis dropped the spoon and froze for a second before his brain went into total panic mode.

Shane’s chewing on his mouth guard with an intensity he knows only comes at the end of a tense game. “Fuck you,” Shane says with a muffled voice.
“Yes. That,” he shoots back, tensing as the ref drops the puck.
Shane swoops it to the right and he’s chasing after him again. This time he slams Shane even harder into the boards. So hard he can hear the breath leaving the man’s body and it zings through him with a heat he finds so delicious. The kind that only Shane can provide.
Or the five times they use hockey as foreplay during Ilya's last season as a Raider and the one time they don't.

“Why would that be Troy and Harris?” Ilya said, bewildered.
“Because they’re also gay?” Shane said, exasperated.
“I would put a pride flag and an apple for them.” Ilya shrugged. “Or like a hockey puck or something.”
