Summary
Ren didn’t really know that she was trans until Arsene opened his— her— mouth. Before her persona’s voice resonated deep within her. Ryuji and Ann hadn’t mentioned it yet. The unmistakable fact that Arsene’s voice was unmistakably feminine.
Maybe it was because her persona still wore a trenchcoat that hid much of her form, like Ren had hidden this part of her, but they hadn’t seemed to notice. None of them.

Summary

The House of Drena has been dragged low in the pecking order of the Silver Star Empire through means outside anyone's control, and Varden Drena watched, his whole life, as that power dwindled away, piece by piece, constructing long plans and schemes in hopes of pulling, if not his house, at least himself up to where he belongs. Hatching a deal with The Guild Automita, and even then still needing to drop a massive fortune, in a gamble, a slim, pointless, hopeless, futile gamble, that he understands enough to bring low a dragon, to be indited, forever and always, as one of the House of Kinsguard.
What then, if the efforts of all his work isn't for naught? What then, if the scourge of Karagaoni is stopped and her death is recognized as the work of one individual? What then, if that individual is not Varden Drena?
