Summary
Akechi didn’t seem to like anything anymore. As a rule, the only joy they found in life was serendipitous, an absent quality in Maruki’s earthly paradise, where all love was preordained, the pattern of every falling snowflake was set, the place of every pyrite star was fixed. Every night since New Year’s, they’d returned to their empty apartment and found their bed made by invisible forces.
Leaning back in the purple-plush chair and glancing at the sign hung behind the bar— in mismatched neon colors, ‘Welcome Love’— they pretended that was the reason Akira invited them here. That this team meeting, after-hours, was to be some kind of romantic confession. Akechi dropped their head parallel to the countertop, hand on their forehead, resting in solitude. They would never admit to Akira that a confession of love would be preferable to the coming discussion. Her ego didn’t need Akechi’s adoration to survive. After saving Sumire from Maruki's palace, Akechi receives an invitation from Akira to meet at the Crossroads bar for a conversation long overdue.
My piece for Effigy of Our Stars, a T4T Shuake Zine!

Summary
Leaves rot between the tiles of the Okinawa Jail.
No earthly breeze reaches the Metaverse, and the cognitive construction of the desolate laboratory doesn’t include ventilation. With every heavy step, Akira breathes the same air that the last people to come here did, and everyone before them— and wonders if they’ll meet the same fate as their predecessors.
While searching the abandoned halls of the jail in Okinawa, the Phantom Thieves find a tape documenting a mysterious Persona-user once imprisoned there.

Summary
The movement’s pushed Ann's hair off of her shoulders, and it falls in waves that look like threads of gold on a backdrop of amber. It’s a strangely poetic comparison for Ryuji to make, but sue him - sometimes a girl is pretty enough to drive a man to insanity and a wider vocabulary.
Or: Ryuji waxes as poetic as he possibly can about Ann's lips, gives her his hoodie, and falls in love - not necessarily in that order.

Summary
It started as a game.
Futaba would send Akira a card, and he would go fetch her whatever was on the card, so matter how strange it was or how difficult it was to obtain. If he successfully brought it back, Futaba would tell him something about herself.
It was a bonding activity, something to break the ice between himself and Sojiro's other ward—Akira's new little sister. She was a shut-in who'd only shut herself in all the more when he'd moved into the Sakura residence, and he hadn't wanted to be the reason she never saw the light of day again.
Eventually he started haggling for other things—for her to join him and Sojiro for dinner, to go to Akihabara with him, to switch chores with him, to help out at Leblanc—and her requests scaled accordingly.
Which found Akira bullshitting his way to the top of a rigged casino a solid three years before he was legally allowed to gamble (did it count as gambling if the results were set before you even started?) and retrieving a special chip to get Futaba to go to the beach with him, and it only spiraled out from there.
