Steve is about to pick up the phone when he hears a sharp rapping at the door.
"Hellooo? Anyone home?"
A pause. Then, softer,
“Shit, did I get the address wrong? I can’t tell the difference between the way Robbie writes her fours and sevens. Damn that girl and her messy handwriting.”
Steve doesn’t even bother to check the peephole, and he swings the door wide open with a huge grin on his face, a clever line on his tongue, and a name on his mind;
Eddie Munson.

On an especially cold February evening, Eddie Munson shows up on his doorstep unexpectedly, wanting to reconnect after being apart for so long. uhh not technically my first fic but the first thing I'm posting on ao3 because I'm a slow writer and yet I got sucked into this monstrosity of an annual trend..
