Summary
“It’s so hot I can see those little wave things. What’s the point of being rich if you people don’t use the air conditioner?”
“First of all, it’s called a heat shimmer, and it’s caused by refraction. Second, the AC is on, and it’s set to the same temperature it’s always at. Lastly, we just got inside. Cool off and maybe they’ll go away.” Tim had laid face down on the floor, spread out in an attempt to keep his limbs from touching each other.
When Duke looked again the spot of refraction was gone so he brushed the incident aside.
Then he saw it in the cave. “Is there a science rule that explains why I see the little heatwave things next to the dinosaur?” Duke asked.
“Heat shimmer.” Tim answered without looking up from the batcomputer.
“I know what it’s called, and I like my version better.”
“Wait, where did you see it?” Tim asked, spinning the chair to face Duke.
“It’s fine, it’s gone and I’m going to bed.” He drudged up the stairs, hoping he wouldn’t see any more out-of-place heat shimmers.

This has all the entries Tim made in my story "The Tapes" (one entry per chapter of this work), and is only so I can link to the correct entry as I add on to the series, and so no one has to go out of their way to look for the correct entry if they want to double check what I'm talking about.
There is no new content in this work. It is just for additional referencing.
The first couple entries are formatted differently than in the main fic.

No, Alfred cared much more about how Tim lost an organ, didn’t tell anyone about it, and didn’t take care of himself despite losing part of his immune system within the past year and a half.

Summary
Zuko was probably more involved in the gossip around the palace than he had any right to be.
It’s not his fault, it’s really not. It’s just that sometimes he’s sitting in the kitchens (the best place to get the gossip) drinking tea and trying to relax for once, and some of the kitchen staff will start gossiping where he can still hear them. He doesn’t really try to listen in; it’s not his place and he won’t judge the staff based on whatever rumors are running around, but Spirits is it interesting. He tries not to listen too much, or get too invested in it though. Gossip is gossip after all, and rumors hardly ever turn out to be true.
But Zuko absolutely needs to know if Maya from the laundry room broke up with her piece of shit boyfriend.
Or, 5 times Zuko got invested in/meddled in palace gossip, and 1 time he was the subject of the gossip.
