Liam doesn’t know how to do this. Not exactly. Never touched Theo gently before, always out of violence or desperation. Never touched a boy knowing he wants the boy to touch him back. Their bodies press against each other the only way they know how, hostile and graceless.
“You don’t mean this,” Theo murmurs into his neck.
“Sure,” Liam pants. “Just like I didn’t mean it in the elevator.”

Summary
When Sam finds Dean after the Empty, after everything, there is blood on his brother’s face. A handprint laid across his cheek in what should be reminiscent of their father’s brutal touch but only appears as reverence, as worship. Dean is in the middle of the dungeon, his hands gripping his thighs so tightly Sam knows they’ll be bruised, and he is on his knees. He looks like he’s praying.
To what, Sam will never understand.
