Summary

Ilya moved fast. He'd always been quick, which was one of the things Shane had clocked about him early on and never forgotten. He crossed the distance between them before the two agents had processed that they needed to stop him and his fist connected with the side of Shane’s face before he had a chance to do more than shift his weight backwards.

It seemed to be missing an eye. She gave him a once-over and suddenly Ilya felt like he was being inspected.
Suddenly remembering that he was only wearing underwear, Ilya pulled the covers up to his chin. “Um. Hello,” he said.
“Why are you in Dad’s bed?”
