100 years after being sealed away in the heart of the Burial Mounds to piece together the fragments of his soul through a deep, restorative sleep, Wei Ying wakes with no memories, only a voice in the back of his mind, low and soft, urging him to wake. She slowly lifted her head to glance at him. Wei Wuxian held out his hand, and she took it hesitantly and reached for Lan Zhan’s on the other side. Unable to hug her knees anymore, she let down her guard. “We’re all gonna be together?” she asked.
“Yeah, we’ll be together.” Wei Wuxian squeezed her hand. “Promise.”
