Summary
Mike Wheeler fled Hawkins with a letter and a broken heart, leaving El and his friends behind without explanation. In Paris, he drowns in guilt, panic attacks, and memories of her. Working at a bar and living with Maya and Connell, he tries to heal but feels incomplete. When he finally decides to return to America, he doesn't know if El will forgive him or if his friends will welcome him back. He writes her a note, buys a plane ticket, and hopes. The ending is uncertain. We don't know if he'll make it, but for the first time, he's ready to try.
