Win’s patience was fairly low. He already knew that, his friends knew that, the student body knew that. His ex did not.
Having been sick and tired of trying to explain to his ex why their relationship did not work out ( him simply not being in love ), the next best plan of action was to go kiss a random stranger in the hallway and move on after like nothing happened.
That was the plan until the boy he kissed was Sound Saran and everything else went crumbling down after.

They were quiet on the drive in, Pearl humming along with the songs on the radio while Joel stared out the window and tried to remember why he’d agreed to working in a cafe in the first place. He loved the job normally, the whole thing was made even better by working with some of his closest friends, but he’d never managed to get used to, or even make peace with, the early mornings. He might not be on Bdubs’ level, but he still wasn’t a fan of waking up. Not that he would ever say that out loud. According to the team, Andrew is currently losing a custody battle for Neil against a sport invented by the mafia.
It’s a running joke in the locker room: Neil cares about Exy, and then, distant second, he cares about breathing. Andrew is somewhere on the list, probably below the new backliner spread Kevin found.
Andrew doesn't bother correcting them. He knows the difference between a distraction and a destination. He knows Neil runs until his lungs burn to keep the ghosts quiet, but he also knows exactly whose bed Neil crawls into when the adrenaline fades.
